The garden dates back to the same period as the house, built around 1759. It is under a slow process of regeneration, containing a small orchard of heritage varieties of apple, a fruit garden developed with the help of NFG (Northern Fruit Group), a demonstration beehive through the Harrogate & Ripon Beekeeping Association and a limited area of organic vegetable production is under the management of the head gardener.
